Best Free Script Fonts
Ever since I first heard about the world of typography, way back when I was in uni, I discovered this amazing way of expression and individuality that I did not know existed and absolutely fell in love with it. Fonts can express mood, frame of mind, and intention, all of which are but a few puzzle pieces of what we as designers take into consideration when developing a brand and its personality.
When I’m looking at a brand that, at its core, is all about being casual, authentic but with a unique twist of personality, I more often than not opt for a script font. The problem is that to find a free font that actually works can be very difficult and time consuming, let alone finding a script font that doesn’t look far too infantile, too muddled or too ‘weddingish’. I hate to admit it, but at times I have truly spent days looking for that perfect script font to pair with my image and layout in order to create the look and feel of the brand in question.
With this in mind, and because I have been an avid consumer and tester of typography for the last decade, if I do say so myself, I have curated my most used free script fonts that are completely free and at the same time hopefully saved you hours of sourcing for this material.
